Privacy Policy
Wallet Wander ("we", "us") is a travel planning and expense tracking app. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Wallet Wander app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the iOS app and to walletwander.com.
1. Information you give us
- Account. We sign you in with your mobile phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS. You can add a name, username, profile and cover photo, date of birth, gender, home country and home airports.
- Trips and money. Trips, itineraries, budgets, expenses, splits with travel companions, currencies and notes you enter. If you photograph a receipt, we store the photo with the expense.
- Social features. Posts, check-ins, comments, reactions, friend requests and the profile visibility settings you choose. Your profile is private unless you make it public.
- Invitations. If you invite a friend, you pick a contact on your device and we use only that contact's phone number or email to send the invitation. We do not upload your address book.
- Support messages you send us.
2. Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data needed to run the app: device type, operating system version, app version, language, and error reports.
- Push notification token if you allow notifications, so we can deliver reminders and social updates.
- Subscription status. For Premium subscriptions bought through Apple, Apple sends us the product, transaction identifiers, expiry and renewal status. We never receive your card or bank details; Apple handles payment.
Wallet Wander does not track your location in the background. Destination search and weather use the places you type into the app.
3. Permissions the app asks for

4. How we use information
- To provide the app: store your trips and expenses, sync them across your devices, and show shared itineraries to people you share them with.
- To read receipts. When you scan a receipt, the photo is sent to an AI service that extracts the merchant, amount and date. The photo is used only for that purpose.
- To run social features and invitations you choose to use.
- To manage Premium subscriptions, trials and referrals.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party advertising.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that run Wallet Wander, and only what they need:

We also share information when required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer.
Information you share with other users, such as a public profile, a post or a shared itinerary, is visible to the people you shared it with.
6. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active. Receipt photos are kept with the expense until you delete the expense, the trip, or your account. Subscription records are kept as long as needed for accounting and for Apple's refund and dispute processes.
7. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile, privacy settings and trips in the app at any time.
- Delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your profile, trips, expenses, posts and photos from our systems. Some records may remain in backups for a limited time.
- Notifications can be turned off in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Subscriptions are managed and cancelled through your Apple ID settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls so that only you, and the people you share with, can see your content. No system is completely secure, so please keep your phone and sign-in codes private.
9. Children
Wallet Wander is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
Wallet Wander is operated from the United States. If you use the app from another country, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and let you know in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
